DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly met and greeted by our representative and briefed about your safari before departing for Amboseli National Park. The scenic drive takes you through open countryside with views of rural Kenya and, on clear days, the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance.

You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Africa’s highest mountain. Lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species are also commonly sighted. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives, or opt for a full-day safari with picnic lunch. The park’s open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and breathtaking photographic moments.

Amboseli is especially known for its close-up elephant encounters, often with Mount Kilimanjaro forming a dramatic backdrop. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru via Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and journey toward the Great Rift Valley. En route, stop at Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat ride across its tranquil waters, where hippos and diverse birdlife can be observed up close.

You may also choose to visit Crescent Island Sanctuary (optional at extra cost) for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a peaceful environment. After lunch, continue to Lake Nakuru, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its rhino sanctuary and diverse wildlife. The park is home to black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and seasonal flamingos along the lake’s shores.

After breakfast and check-out, depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes and Maasai villages. Arrive at your camp or lodge in the late afternoon for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Day 5: Hot Air Balloon Safari & Full Day in Maasai Mara

Rise early before dawn for an unforgettable Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Maasai Mara (optional at extra cost). As the sun rises over the savannah, drift silently above the plains, spotting wildlife from a breathtaking aerial perspective. Upon landing, enjoy a special bush breakfast in the wild — a truly magical safari highlight.

Later, continue with a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. The Maasai Mara offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa and is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — as well as cheetahs and large herds of plains game. During migration season (July–October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

This marks the end of your extraordinary 6-day Kenya safari filled with breathtaking scenery, thrilling wildlife encounters, and unforgettable memories.
