Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and begin the journey towards Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. The scenic drive passes through dramatic escarpments, rural landscapes, and beautiful viewpoints overlooking the valley.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for its large populations of black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of bird species including flamingos that often gather along the lake shores. After the game drive, proceed to your lodge or safari camp for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley and traditional Maasai countryside.

Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara. The reserve is home to abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, and large herds of antelope. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa and is home to the famous Big Five.

If visiting during the migration season, you may witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration as thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross from Serengeti National Park into the Maasai Mara. Optional activities such as a Maasai village visit or hot air balloon safari can also be arranged. Dinner and overnight at your safari camp.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Serengeti via Isebania Border

After an early breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive towards the Isebania Border where you will complete immigration formalities before entering Tanzania.

Continue the journey into the legendary Serengeti National Park, famous for its endless plains and exceptional wildlife concentrations. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring the iconic landscapes of Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous safari parks in the world. Morning and afternoon game drives offer incredible opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras.

The Serengeti ecosystem supports one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the planet, making it a dream destination for wildlife photography and safari adventures. Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge or camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart Serengeti with a game drive en route towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Later descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and hippos. After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, ascend from the crater and proceed to your lodge near the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park where you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River attracts large concentrations of wildlife especially during the dry season. Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge.

Day 8: Tarangire to Amboseli via Namanga Border

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive towards the Namanga Border where you will cross back into Kenya.

Continue the journey to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in the afternoon for a game drive before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend the day exploring the beautiful landscapes of Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park offers incredible wildlife sightings including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous bird species.

Amboseli is also one of the best places in Africa to photograph elephants with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Amboseli to Nairobi

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi enjoying scenic views along the way.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenya and Tanzania safari adventure.
